THIS SUNDAY: RSVP for Buddha's Birth Ceremony ON SITE

Join us on site for this joyous occasion to celebrate the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha by offering incense and pouring sweet water over the baby Buddha, symbolizing the soft rain in the fragrant garden of Lumbini when Buddha was born. Open to the public. Everyone welcome!

Sunday, April 7, 1–4 pm PST

1–2 pm Ceremony (on site & online)

2–4pm Reception (on site only)

Families, friends and children will gather in the zendo to commemorate the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha in a Flower Festival and the traditional pouring of sweet rain over the baby Buddha. Following this ceremony will be an outdoor reception. Everyone is asked to bring flowers to offer in the zendo and to bring finger-type hors d'oeuvres, ready-to-serve on platters for the reception. Our entire Sangha will be the host of this event. Open to the public.
