Welcoming On-Site Visitors - Join Us for Saturday Community!

Spring is awakening here on the great mountain. The majestic oak trees are eagerly unfurling their leaves, the deer are shedding their winter coats, and wild flowers abound. With the Winter Practice Period over, we are once again welcoming ON-SITE visitors!

Join us ONLINE for Intro to Zen Workshop on Wednesday, March 9th.

Week 2 explores "Buddhist Thought" and the origins of Buddha's noble truths.

Workshop will be taught by Kaian John Jennings and Genzen Ed Cadman.

Check out our Daily Meditation Schedule and participate as much as you are able; continuous practice helps strengthen your resolve and clarifies your life! If attending partially, please leave or enter during kinhin (walking meditation).

Download daily sutras to partake in the morning service.

Our lovely Great Oak Tree in front of Genjoji's Sangha House is diseased and now beyond saving. It is time to bid farewell to this dear old friend; this great and majestic sentinel that has protected the grounds and visitors of our Temple for a very long time. Arborist and former SMZC resident work-leader, Jon Kaiten Perry, will travel from Hawaii to lead the tree removal work team from April 11-15, 2022.

Please make a generous donation towards equipment rental and removal services.
