Our doors are wide open! Register to join us ON-SITE or ONLINE for our Saturday Community Program.  Lunch immediately following in the Sangha house...or outside, weather permitting. (Your generous donations help us to sustain this program offering - thank you!)

Check out our Daily Meditation Schedule and participate as much as you are able; continuous practice helps strengthen your resolve and clarifies your life! If attending partially, please leave or enter during kinhin (walking meditation). Download the daily sutras to partake in the morning service.

Join Us ON-SITE or ONLINE for Buddha's Birthday 3-Day Sesshin Wed. March 30, 7:30pm - Sat. April 2, 12:00pm

RSVP for Buddha's Birth Ceremony Sunday, April 3, 1-4:00pm Ceremony - 1pm & Reception 2-4pm   Families, friends and children...join us for this special and joyous day! We will gather in the Zendo to commemorate the birth of Shakyamuni Buddha in a Flower Festival and the traditional pouring of sweet rain over the baby Buddha. Please bring flowers for the altar and ready-to-serve finger foods for the reception immediately following the ceremony. Register to see how you can help!

An opportunity to explore the fundamental teachings of Buddhism and build a foundation for daily practice through discussions on the book "Transmission of Light (Denkoroku): Zen in the Art of Enlightenment" by Zen Master Keizan.  Week 3 - Tuesday, March 22, 7:30-9pm (Join us ON-SITE or ONLINE)

Join us ONSITE for Intro to Zen Workshop on Saturday, March 26th. Week 4 offers a guided tour of the temple grounds. Workshop will be guided by Kevin Shindo Souza.

Great Oak Tree Fund

Our lovely Great Oak Tree in front of Genjoji's Sangha House is diseased and now beyond saving. It is time to bid farewell to this dear old friend; this great and majestic sentinel that has protected the grounds and visitors of our Temple for a very long time. Arborist and former SMZC resident work-leader, Jon Kaiten Perry, will travel from Hawaii to lead the tree removal work team from April 11-15, 2022. We appreciate your donations towards equipment rental and tree removal services!

Are you feeling called?...the Zen Center needs your help! Join us for Friday morning Samu (work practice) from 9:15am to 12noon. Come help transform and preserve the grounds for generations to come.
